About the Opportunity:

This Customer Business Manager is an integral member of the KC Pharmacy & Professional Care Team. This Member will make a strong contribution to a high performing Sales team and culture within KC. The right person for this position will be looking to further develop their Customer Business Management Manager skills and lead the acceleration of growth in the Pharmacy Channel with future aspirations of other roles within the organisation. 

Reporting to the Account Director – Pharmacy & Professional Care, this role is responsible for the management of the Pharmacy Channel at KCA, which includes the management of Wholesalers, major level 1 pharmacy groups (Chemist Warehouse, Priceline and Terry White Chemmart) and select Level 2 customers. This role is a critical leadership role in the consumer sales organisation with a high level of financial responsibility and responsibility to deliver organisation growth. As a key senior leader in the Pharmacy and Professional Care team, ensure that priority for the team has an enterprise view with focus on Our Ambitions, Strategies, Ways of Working, Values, and Goals. As well as this, it is absolutely crucial that this role nurtures the future sales talent, as such, a passion for coaching and leadership is critical. 

Responsibility Areas:

 

Management of Strategic Customer Relationships in the Pharmacy Channel

Achieve Sales and profit growth in the Pharmacy channel through building and maintaining strategic long term relationships with our key customer partners. Drive a superior competitive advantage for KCA through strong collaboration to drive pharmacy focussed growth plans for our customers. Lead direct reports to create, build and implement customer plans aligned to core channel strategies.

 

Input to the Category Annual Plans to create account specific plans within Pharmacy

 Successful planning, collaboration and execution of category annual plans in the pharmacy channel. Be the strategic voice of the customer in KCA, ensuring that customer plans are central to how we bring our brand plans to life in a way that drives long term sales & profitability for both customers and KCA. Develop strategic customer focused plans that deliver against category growth drivers that focus on share and sales fundamentals results.

Achieve sales fundamentals including ranging, distribution and share of shelf objectives within in the Pharmacy Channel

Lead the development and execution of a customer joint business plan in the Pharmacy channel through customer and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Deliver improvement and best in class vision of sales fundamentals in the Pharmacy channel.
  • Lead and support National Account manager and National Account Executive to develop sales fundamentals for each major customer category in the Pharmacy channel.
  • Lead and support National Account Manager and National Account Executive to plan, co-ordinate and deliver category reviews to deliver ranging, distribution and share of shelf targets.
  • Lead and work collaboratively with the marketing, category, RGM, innovation and supply team to bring customer specific product/pack/price propositions to market.

 

Deliver Brilliant Basics through Financial Management, forecasting and supply outlooks

  • Ownership and delivery of accurate sales forecasts both individually and through your team via collaboration with customer contacts, demand planning and data analysis
  • Financial management through review and negotiation of customer investment plans, ensuring spend does not exceed budget and management of pricing and rebates
  • Drive accountability for customer claims through the National Account Manager and National Account Executive
